Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will travel to Moscow and Kyiv this weekend to try to advance peace negotiations. Witkoff, Trump's special envoy for the Middle East, was recently in Moscow, where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and a close figure to the American president, is accompanying Witkoff on this trip. The visit is part of the Trump administration's efforts to find a solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
Ukraine has been requesting for months that Witkoff and Kushner visit Kyiv. Ukrainian authorities have sought to engage directly with American representatives to present their perspective on the peace process.
