The president of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Marga Prohens, will write to the president of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, to demand all available information on reports from the Security Forces and Corps of the State warning of a "high risk" of irregular maritime arrivals and massive entries, with special incidence in the Balearic Islands.
These alerts became known after the migratory situation in Ceuta and the explanations Sánchez gave on Thursday in the Congress of Deputies, which set off alarms in the Government. Prohens publicly reacted to Sánchez's words through the social network X.
On Friday, Prohens convened an urgent and extraordinary press conference to announce that she would send a formal request to Sánchez, in which, in addition to all available documentation, she will also demand explanations as to why the Balearic executive was not informed about these reports and details of the measures that have been adopted so far.
