Suspects steal vehicle in Rio de Mouro and end up arrested in Caldas da Rainha

Two men aged 24 and 34 are suspected of stealing a vehicle intended for parcel delivery in the area of Rinchoa, Rio de Mouro, in the municipality of Sintra. The suspects were eventually arrested by the Public Security Police in Caldas da Rainha.

According to the Leiria District Command of the PSP, one of the suspects approached the driver of the vehicle at the moment when he was preparing to leave the vehicle. The suspect grabbed and pulled the victim, adopting a posture and speech of an aggressive nature.

The circumstance of the suspect keeping one hand inside his pocket led the victim to fear that he could be in possession of a firearm, significantly increasing the feeling of threat and danger in response to the approach.

The information was reported by the PSP of Leiria to the Jornal de Leiria, and the two men were intercepted and arrested in Caldas da Rainha.
