Diário de Coimbra4 September 2026 at 10:15

The municipalities of Coimbra, Mealhada and Cantanhede are working together to create a "Large Business Reception Area". The project aims to boost economic activity in the region, creating conditions for the establishment of companies and job generation.

The three municipalities are in a phase of consolidating the technical information necessary for the development of the project. This analysis covers several fundamental aspects for the success of the initiative.

The technical information to be collected includes the definition of the intervention area, infrastructure conditions, available energy capacity, existing accessibility, land supply and potential business demand. These elements will be decisive for the appropriate planning of the business reception zone.

The project arises in a context of intermunicipal cooperation, bringing together three municipalities that intend to join forces to attract investment and boost the local and regional economy.
