Two workers were rescued alive, this Friday, from the tunnels of the Trishuli hydroelectric power plant, in Nepal. The men had been trapped for nine days after a devastating flood hit the country.
The rescue teams continue rescue operations to try to save the remaining workers. According to Nepali authorities, around 900 workers are reported missing in 12 hydroelectric power plants.
Authorities estimate that around 500 of these workers may be trapped inside tunnels, which makes the rescue operations particularly complex and urgent.
