Two workers were rescued alive from a tunnel in northern Nepal, nine days after they had been trapped due to a flash flood. The rescue was confirmed by the Nepalese Government.
The two men were buried in the tunnel after the flood that occurred more than a week ago. During the nine days they remained at the site, rescue teams worked to reach them.
The tunnel was part of a construction project in northern Nepal. The authorities did not report on the health status of the rescued workers.
