A 51-year-old woman was detained by the GNR on September 1st in the municipality of Viana do Castelo for drug trafficking. The detention was carried out by the Criminal Investigation Unit of Viana do Castelo, following an investigation that had been ongoing for about a month.
As part of the procedures, the military carried out two search warrants, one at a residence and another on a vehicle. During the operation, seven cannabis plants were seized.
The suspect was ultimately detained in the act and declared a defendant. The facts were subsequently reported to the Judicial Court of Viana do Castelo.
The operation was supported by military personnel from the Territorial Post of Vila Praia de Âncora.
