Return to the office created four types of workers. Which one are you?

SAPO Notícias4 September 2026 at 08:49

The return to the office after the pandemic years gave rise to four distinct types of workers. The human resources consulting firm Korn Ferry identified these four profiles that currently coexist in companies, each with different habits regarding physical presence in the workplace.

Among the identified profiles are those who come to the office every day, those who concentrate their presence mainly mid-week, and those who work almost exclusively remotely. This diversity of behaviors raises new challenges for organizational management.

Korn Ferry warns that spending more time in the office does not necessarily mean being more productive or more engaged. Mere physical presence does not guarantee better results, and it is important that companies define strategies that go beyond counting days of attendance.

This reality requires organizations to rethink their hybrid work policies, adapting to a scenario in which different worker profiles coexist and have different needs.
