Two workers who remained trapped in a tunnel at the Trishuli 3A hydroelectric project in Nepal were rescued alive on Friday, ten days after the devastating floods that hit the region. The two survivors were found after a prolonged rescue operation that mobilized emergency teams.
The workers were trapped inside the tunnel since the catastrophic flooding occurred. The rescue operation was particularly difficult due to the adverse conditions caused by the floods at the hydroelectric project site.
