The investigation into My Vintage Dress, a bridal gown atelier located in Pinheiros, in the West Zone of São Paulo, opened a new avenue for clients who claim to have paid for their pieces without receiving them within the agreed timeframe. On Wednesday, the Civil Police reported that it began registering the cases as fraud, while Procon demands explanations from the company and a schedule for deliveries.
The complaints emerged after brides reported difficulties retrieving their dresses and getting in touch with the store. The case gained prominence after clients and family members went to the establishment seeking answers, in episodes that ended in commotion and the Military Police being called.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, the occurrences are being registered at the 14th Police District of Pinheiros. The affected clients report having made advance payments and, with just a few days until their wedding, remain without the dresses they purchased.
