Two Korean culture festivals are coming to Rio de Janeiro in the coming days, offering cariocas the opportunity to taste Korean snacks, watch K-pop, follow K-dramas and participate in dance battles without leaving the city.
The Festival Sabores e Luzes da Coreia happens for the first time in Rio, at Uptown Barra, from September 11 to 13. On Friday, the event runs from 5 PM to 10 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 10 PM. Admission is free.
The festival's program includes K-pop dance classes and cover groups, dance battles, Korean calligraphy workshops, K-drama inspired activities and an area dedicated to Asian artists and artisans.
The event's name makes reference to one of its main highlights: two thousand colored lanterns decorate the space, promising great photo opportunities for visitors.
