Two workers were rescued alive from a tunnel in northern Nepal, nine days after a flood hit the region. The rescue occurred after days of intense searches in the facilities affected by the natural disaster.
Nepalese authorities reported that the two survivors were found inside the tunnel and are doing well. The accident was caused by a flood that shook the country, leaving people trapped in several areas.
Despite the time elapsed since the disaster, authorities continue to maintain hope that it may still be possible to rescue more people alive. Rescue operations continue in the region.
