The National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) was without system for approximately two and a half hours. The unavailability was detected at 09:40 in the morning and was only fully resolved at 12:15.

During the period when the system was down, contingency procedures were activated to ensure the continuity of the medical emergency service.

INEM guarantees that no one was left unattended during the system unavailability period, assuring that all emergency requests were processed through the alternative means provided in the contingency protocol.

Breathalyzer tests needed for drivers.

This is a humorous and detailed account of a driver in Funchal, Madeira, who followed a vehicle driven by what appeared to be a very drunk person. The author describes how the driver drove erratically, making dangerous lane changes, occupying both lanes of traffic, and nearly causing several accidents. The vehicle ended up hitting a side mirror at the entrance of the Pingo Doce warehouse, then continued driving in the opposite lane. The author followed the car at a safe distance and humorously suggests the driver should be tested, comparing him to "a barrel of Madeira Wine." The post ends with a sarcastic note warning that the mirror can be found at the accident site.
