Cuba registered 52 homicide cases during the month of August, according to data from a non-governmental organization. This number is part of a wave of increasing violence that has affected the country.
The organization also revealed that, in addition to homicides, 314 events of violence and insecurity were registered in various different points of the island of Cuba during the same period.
Among these violence events, five cases of feminicide were identified. The NGO report also states that five other suicides and one suicide attempt were registered in the same month.
The statistics were released by the non-governmental organization and represent a portrait of the security situation in Cuba during the month of August.
