Beyond Botafogo, Vasco also attempts to sign forward Everton Cebolinha from Flamengo. Unlike the alvinegro, the cruz-maltino went directly to the player and his representatives to inquire about the financial conditions of the operation.
Flamengo released Cebolinha to find a new club and leave Rubro-negro only for the salary, since his contract ends in December. The forward completed 12 games this season and, if he plays one more match, he will no longer be able to transfer to Brazilian clubs during this window.
Botafogo's offer is for two years of contract, with a salary of around R$ 1.2 million, in addition to signing bonuses and incentives of R$ 6 million spread throughout the contract. The amount is similar to what the 30-year-old player currently earns at Flamengo.
Cebolinha liked Botafogo's offer, but his staff indicated that he still prefers to leave the country after four years at Rubro-negro. The trend is that he will not accept the offer from the Rio club if he still has options abroad. Santos also expressed interest in the player.
