Marítimo hires Mons Bassouamina from Pafos

Dia de Jogo — jornal desportivo4 September 2026 at 00:52

Clube Desportivo Marítimo announced the signing of Congolese striker Mons Bassouamina, from Pafos, a club from Cyprus. The transfer was completed on a permanent basis, meaning Marítimo fully purchased the player's sporting rights.

Bassouamina is 28 years old and holds Congolese nationality. The player signed a contract with the Madeiran side for one season, running until June 2027, thus committing to the Madeira club for the upcoming sporting seasons.

This signing represents another addition to Marítimo's attack, as the club sought to strengthen its offensive sector for the new season. The striker joins the group of players available to the Madeiran coach.

With this move, the player leaves Cypriot football, where he represented Pafos, to embark on a new professional experience in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, playing for Marítimo.
