Fans present at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza will be able to see a lap of the character on the Italian circuit. The action is a partnership between Formula 1 and Disney to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first film in the franchise, which was released in 2006.
In addition to Lightning McQueen, the category's Safety Car will also receive special livery in homage to the animation. McLaren will be responsible for providing the safety vehicle for the race. Fans will also be able to buy products from the special collection of the partnership, including clothes, accessories, collectible items, and miniature vehicles.
The Italian Grand Prix takes place this weekend in Monza, one of the most traditional stages of motorsport worldwide. The schedule begins on Friday, the 4th, with two free practice sessions.
