The Government of the Azores announced that it plans to invest nine million euros in 2027 on the purchase of new vehicles for the Regional Civil Protection and Fire Service. This decision comes as a continuation of the investments already made by the regional executive during the current year. The announcement was made by the president of the Regional Government, José Manuel Bolieiro, who also revealed that the PSD/CDS-PP/PPM coalition executive invested around eight million euros this year on vehicles for the same service. The planned investment for 2027 thus represents an increase compared to the amount applied in the current year. This investment forecast comes within the framework of the regional government's priorities for civil protection and firefighters in the Azores archipelago.
