An elderly woman was run over by a garbage truck in the Beato area. The resident who spoke to the publication explained that the victim had a problem with her leg, which made it difficult for her to get around.

Due to the poor condition of the sidewalks in the area, the elderly woman preferred to walk on the road instead of using the pedestrian crossings, considering it more comfortable for her condition.

Residents blame the Beato Parish Council for the situation, considering that the maintenance of pedestrian walkways is the responsibility of the local authority.

The interviewed resident considered that the sidewalks are in a disgraceful condition, denouncing the neglect of the infrastructure in the area.
