The Lisbon Stock Exchange closed today near the so-called "waterline", which means it remained very close to the equilibrium level, without significant variations. The PSI index closed down just 0.04%, standing at 9,401.50 points.
The negative market performance was mainly penalized by the EDP group and Jerónimo Martins, two of the main listed companies on the Lisbon index. These two listed companies were among the biggest contributors to the slight decline recorded.
On the other hand, BCP managed to prevent more pronounced losses, avoiding a more expressive decline in the index. This action by the bank helped limit the negative impact on the market.
Overall, the day was marked by a session of low volatility on the Lisbon trading floor, with investors opting for a cautious stance given the stock market scenario.
