Tesla was the best-selling electric car brand in Portugal between January and August, having sold 6,512 units in the country during that period. The American electric vehicle brand thus leads the Portuguese electric market with a significant advantage over its competitors.

In second place in the ranking of the best-selling electric car brands in Portugal is BMW. The German manufacturer achieved second place in the top electric sales in the Portuguese market during the first eight months of the year.

The third position in the ranking is occupied by BYD, a brand of Chinese origin. The Asian company thus achieves a place on the podium of electric car sales in Portugal, demonstrating its growing presence in the European market.

In total, the sales data between January and August shows that the electric vehicle market in Portugal is growing, with Tesla clearly dominating sales, followed by BMW and BYD.
