Teachers who postpone retirement to continue teaching will receive a 750 euro monthly bonus. This extra remuneration is intended to incentivize them to remain active and address the shortage of teachers in schools.
However, this bonus will only be awarded when there are no teachers available to ensure classes. In other words, the measure aims to address specific situations of teacher shortages in certain areas or schools.
The decree that establishes this measure was recently published, taking into account the difficulties the education system faces in hiring qualified teachers. The intention is to guarantee the continuity of classes without compromising the quality of teaching.
