Mitsubishi Fuso resumes activity at Tramagal and reaffirms factory as European production center

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck Europe (MFTE) resumed activity at Tramagal on August 24, marking the return of operations to the Portuguese factory. The company reaffirmed today that Tramagal continues to be the central base of production for Mitsubishi Fuso's European operations.

This role of the Portuguese factory remains unchanged after the integration of Mitsubishi Fuso into the ARCHION Group. The company guarantees that the position of Tramagal as a strategic center of European production has not changed with this corporate change.

The integration into the ARCHION Group has therefore not altered the productive structure of Mitsubishi Fuso in Europe, which continues to have Portugal as its main manufacturing hub. Tramagal thus maintains its strategic importance for the brand's operations on the European continent.

Goodbye paper? Spain begins requiring an electronic document for these Portuguese drivers from this date

From October 5, 2026, Portuguese road transport operators carrying out cabotage operations in Spain will be required to use the Electronic Administrative Control Document (DeCA) in digital format, instead of paper. The requirement results from Spain's Law 9/2025 on Sustainable Mobility, published in December 2025. The document must be generated in PDF format with a QR code and can be presented on a mobile device, as a printed copy with QR code, or just with the QR code itself. Operators need to adapt their systems to create, store, and make documents available, which must be kept for at least one year. To clarify the new rules, Spain's Directorate-General for Transport and IMT are hosting a free webinar on September 16.
