IP invests 700 million in the Alentejo by the end of 2028

The Government, through Infraestruturas de Portugal, will invest 700 million euros in the Alentejo region by the end of 2028. The information was announced by the Secretary of State for Infrastructure.

This investment will be applied to works on railway infrastructure and road infrastructure in the region. The amount will be distributed across the three districts that make up the Alentejo, thus covering the entire region.

Goodbye paper? Spain begins requiring an electronic document for these Portuguese drivers from this date

From October 5, 2026, Portuguese road transport operators carrying out cabotage operations in Spain will be required to use the Electronic Administrative Control Document (DeCA) in digital format, instead of paper. The requirement results from Spain's Law 9/2025 on Sustainable Mobility, published in December 2025. The document must be generated in PDF format with a QR code and can be presented on a mobile device, as a printed copy with QR code, or just with the QR code itself. Operators need to adapt their systems to create, store, and make documents available, which must be kept for at least one year. To clarify the new rules, Spain's Directorate-General for Transport and IMT are hosting a free webinar on September 16.

Nurses will triage SNS 24 calls at INEM
