The initiative "Regata da Baía do Sado em Banheiras e Insólitos" challenges participants to build improvised vessels using recyclable materials, which will then be tested on the waters of the Sado river. The event is organized by the Setúbal Municipal Council in partnership with the Setúbal Rugby Academy Club, combining sport, creativity and material reuse.
The construction of the vessels begins at 8:30 am, a morning dedicated to creativity, originality and good humour. The regatta is integrated into a programme running until 1:30 pm, where the vessels built by participants need to demonstrate the ability to float and navigate successfully.
Participation costs five euros per vessel and registrations must be made by September 16 through the email address [email protected].
