At 69 years old, Adolfo managed to secure an affordable rental home with a rent of 425 euros, in a context where access to housing in Porto has become so difficult that it is compared to winning the Euromillions.

The Porto City Council has set a goal to reach 1,600 affordable rental homes by the end of the year.

So far, 500 homes have been delivered under this municipal program.

However, the available supply continues to be insufficient to meet the high demand from families that need housing support in the city.
