Woman missing from shelter home in Paredes de Coura

A 68-year-old woman was reported missing on Wednesday at 6:30 PM from the shelter home where she lived in Rubiães, in the municipality of Paredes de Coura. The information was confirmed by the GNR.

The alert was given by the woman's informal caregiver, who contacted the authorities to report the disappearance. A source from the District Command of the GNR of Viana do Castelo confirmed to the news agency that it received the report.

The woman permanently resided in the shelter home in Rubiães, a social support facility that accommodates people in vulnerable situations. The authorities initiated searches to try to locate the elderly woman.
