The Stellantis factory in Mangualde celebrated the production of the 2 millionth vehicle. This Portuguese manufacturing plant reached this historic milestone in its production.
The company was founded in 1962 under the name Citroën Lusitânia. Over the decades, the factory has undergone various transformations and ownership changes until joining the Stellantis group.
One of the most remarkable moments in the history of this plant was in 1990, when the last and iconic Citroën 2CV in the world rolled off this factory floor. This model became a symbol of Portuguese automotive history.
Currently, the Mangualde factory produces four fully electric commercial models, demonstrating the plant's adaptation to the transition to electric mobility and the new paradigm of the automotive industry.
