Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) sent audios to the former owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, asking for help with the release of a mining asset. The recordings were obtained by the ICL Notícias website and date from March 2025.

In the audio, Nikolas addresses Vorcaro with affectionate terms such as "Dani" and "handsome," stating he wants to "have more closeness" with the banker. He then introduces the lawyer and former chief of staff from his office, Thiago Rodrigues de Faria, who reportedly has a mining asset pending release.

Nikolas claims he did not know the details of the deal but offers to bridge the gap between the lawyer and Vorcaro. The banker responded asking that Thiago contact him directly, and the deputy even sent the former chief of staff's contact to the businessman.

In the conversation, Vorcaro responded to the Deputy with the phrase "Amen, brother. We are in this together," indicating a close relationship between the two. ICL Notícias highlights that the audios reveal Nikolas's attempt to broker business deals involving the businessman.

Miguel Sousa Tavares comments on the motion of censure presented by Chega against the Government, related to the controversy around the car offered by the father-in-law to the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Montenegro. The commentator considers that the majority of Portuguese want to topple the government for reasons that have nothing to do with this specific issue, emphasizing that he continues to see no reasons for the minister's resignation given what has been made public, and accusing Ventura of being "obsessed" with this issue.

Hungary maintains automatic asylum for Ukrainians of military age contradicting the European Union

Hungary announced it will continue to offer automatic asylum to Ukrainian men of military age (25 to 60 years), contradicting a European Union decision from July. Prime Minister Péter Magyar justified the measure by the presence of ethnic Hungarians in the Transcarpathia region in Ukraine, who flee to Hungary. The EU had decided on Ukraine's defensive needs, but Budapest maintains its differentiated reception position.
