21-year-old motorcyclist dies in collision on A11 in Guimarães

A 21-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision on the A11, at kilometer 39, in the Braga-Guimarães direction, in the Brito area, in Guimarães. The alert was given at 10:03. On the motorcycle was also a 22-year-old woman, who suffered minor injuries and was taken to Braga Hospital.

When the emergency services arrived at the scene, the 21-year-old young man was in cardiorespiratory arrest. Resuscitation maneuvers were performed, but without success, with death declared at the scene.

The rescue operation mobilized 10 operatives and four vehicles from the Voluntary Firefighters of Braga, with support from the VMER of Guimarães. The incident was recorded by the GNR Traffic Brigade, and the Ascendi on-call team, the highway concessionaire, was also at the scene.

Following the accident, traffic on the A11 was restricted.
