The Polytechnic University of Viseu (UPV) will promote the European Week of Sustainable Development between September 22 and 24, 2026. The event aims to raise awareness and mobilize the academic community and civil society for the challenges of sustainable development.
The initiative is aligned with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a set of global targets adopted by the international organization to address issues such as poverty, climate change, and inequality.
The program aims to involve the academic community of Viseu as well as civil society in general, creating a space for reflection and debate on the environmental, social, and economic issues that affect the future of the planet.
This is not the first time that UPV has associated itself with sustainability initiatives, demonstrating the higher education institution's commitment to training and raising awareness on these topics.
