The mayor of Caminha, Liliana Silva, announced during yesterday afternoon's City Council meeting at the Noble Hall of the Town Hall that the municipal executive is developing a plan to install video surveillance cameras in the municipality's historic center. The mayor revealed that the goal is to have the system operational starting in June 2027. The announcement comes within the scope of an ordinary meeting of the municipal executive, where issues related to the municipality's security and land planning were discussed. The installation of video surveillance cameras aims to enhance security in the historic area of Caminha, with the mayor expecting the historic center to already be covered by the video surveillance system by the summer of 2027.
