A 17-page anonymous complaint was filed at the Assembly of the Republic alleging workplace pressures, harassment, offenses, screaming, threats, persecution, and alleged irregularities behind the scenes of the São Bento Palace. According to the newspaper Público, the mentioned cases reportedly began in 2024, extending over two years.
The person targeted by the complaint was Hugo Tavares, aide to Secretary-General Anabela Cabral Ferreira. The complaint also raised doubts about hirings and appointments at the Assembly of the Republic.
The case was ultimately dismissed without the target of the complaints having been questioned, which surprised those involved in the complaint.
