Central Bank orders liquidation of managers linked to Master case

oglobo3 September 2026 at 12:15

The Central Bank determined on Thursday the extrajudicial liquidation of Trustee Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários, which managed funds linked to the Banco Master scandal, and of Banvox Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários, also linked to Daniel Vorcaro's bank. The decision was made based on the existence of serious violations of the legal norms that govern the activities of financial institutions. The Central Bank stated in a communiqué that the declaration of extrajudicial liquidation was motivated by these irregularities. The two managers have low market presence, together representing less than 0.001% of the total adjusted assets of the National Financial System and 0.76% of the third-party resource management volume.

The government official highlighted that the new road will contribute to road safety and that the country needs a more connected Alentejo. The vice-president of the Évora City Hall predicted that the variant could remove between 30% to 40% of the city's traffic.
