Aralab, a Portuguese manufacturer of climate chambers based in Rio de Mouro, Sintra, announced the acquisition of 100% of the British Alphatech. This operation allows the company led by Luís Branco to have direct representation in the United Kingdom, described as one of the largest and most sophisticated markets in the world for climate chambers and environmental control solutions.
With this acquisition, Aralab expects to reach revenue of 25 million euros in 2026. The company's CEO stated that the operation will make it possible to strengthen proximity to customers, consolidate local response capabilities, and accelerate the development of new business opportunities.
This expansion in the United Kingdom follows other recent international operations. In March, Aralab purchased 51% of the Indian Newtronic in partnership with the German Memmert, and in February it had announced the start of climate chamber production in China and the opening of a commercial area in Europe.
Aralab was founded in 1985 by brothers João and Eduardo Araújo, employs approximately 110 workers, and recorded business revenue of 19 million euros last year, exporting more than 80% of its production to more than 80 countries. Among its clients are companies such as Bayer, BASF, Bosch, Airbus, and Renault, as well as scientific facilities linked to NASA, ESA, and Fraunhofer.
