A pothole on street 62 in Espinho has been causing traffic disruptions for several weeks in one of the city's most congested areas. The sinkhole is located near a crosswalk and occupies part of the road lane.
The location is marked with a plastic barrier and a metal grate with a sign requiring drivers to divert around the obstacle.
The situation becomes particularly problematic due to the high traffic volume recorded on this road. Street 62 is one of the roads used for commuting within the city and, especially during peak traffic periods, the reduction of available space for circulation can contribute to increased congestion.
