Asked for $13 and walked for days: a father searches for his son in Nepal's floods

ZAP Notícias3 September 2026 at 10:30

Talka Sada, a man just over 50 years old from Saptari, a district in Nepal's Terai region, is walking through the country's areas hit by devastating floods in the hope of finding his son. The father asked for only $13 to fund his search and walked for several days through the Nepali mountains.

According to Al Jazeera, Sada is described as poor, frustrated, and angry. His eyes are exhausted, his face marked by wrinkles of worry, his heels aching from so much walking. He is hungry and angry, but giving up is not an option for him.

Sada's situation oscillates between hope and helplessness. He remains focused on his mission to find his son, a desperate search that has led him to cover great distances despite the adverse conditions and his weakened physical state.
