The residents of Ceuta are in revolt against the creation of two new reception centers for migrants in the Spanish city in North Africa. One of the centers will be built next to a nursery, while the other will be located at West Quay.
The residents express strong opposition to these projects and threaten to continue the protests until the Government reverses its decision. The proximity of one of the centers to a nursery has been one of the main points of discord among the local population.
Ceuta, as a Spanish enclave in Moroccan territory, has been frequently confronted with migratory flows, which makes the installation of reception structures a particularly sensitive topic for the resident community.
