Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez supports the Red Cross in responding to people in vulnerable situations

The Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, led by Mayor Olegário Gonçalves, signed a cooperation protocol with the Arcuense delegation of the Red Cross. The agreement aims to support the renovation works of the institution's Headquarters Building and the creation of a reception space dedicated to people in vulnerable situations.

This initiative is part of the municipal proximity policy that the council maintains with the various institutions of the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez. The support to the Red Cross represents an effort to strengthen the existing social support network in the territory.

The Portuguese Red Cross plays a fundamental role in the reception and assistance of people in vulnerable situations, and the renovation works will allow for improved conditions for service and support to the local community.
