The Eastern Variant of Évora, integrated into the IP2, was inaugurated this morning at a ceremony that brought together municipal officials and entities linked to the project. Jerónimo José, vice-president of the Évora City Council, attended the event and highlighted that the new road infrastructure represents a strategic reinforcement for attracting investment to the municipality. The local official also highlighted that the Variant will significantly change traffic flows, estimating a reduction between 30% and 40% in the traffic that currently passes through the city center. The new road improves accessibility conditions and strengthens Évora's connection to the rest of the territory, contributing to the economic development of the region.
