Águeda: Parque do Casarão hosts photovoltaic production unit, energy storage and collective self-consumption

NotíciasdeAveiro.pt3 September 2026 at 10:26

Dstsolar, a Dstgroup company specializing in photovoltaic solutions, is implementing at Parque do Casarão, in Águeda, a pioneering project that combines photovoltaic production, energy storage and collective self-consumption communities. The project is promoted by the Municipality of Águeda under the New Generation Business Park Area and represents an overall investment of approximately 7 million euros.

The intervention includes the installation of 15 energy production and storage units, totaling 9.31 MWp of installed capacity and 9 MWh of storage. This system will enable the creation of a shared energy infrastructure that will allow 15 entities to produce, store, share and consume locally generated renewable energy.

The implemented model requires a highly specialized technical approach to energy management and sharing among the different participants. It promotes more efficient use of energy resources, reduces dependence on the electrical grid and contributes to the reduction of energy costs and the carbon footprint of participating companies.

According to Dstsolar, this is a significant step in creating more sustainable business ecosystems, strengthening the competitiveness of the business fabric through the adoption of renewable and collaborative energy solutions.

Euro zone debt interest eases on the seventh day

Euro Zone government debt yields are easing this Thursday, marking the first pause in the sell-off that has punished bond markets worldwide in recent days. Portugal's ten-year bond yield fell about four basis points to 3.698%, after hitting nine-year highs, following the same decompression trend in Spain and Germany. The recent selling pressure was driven by investor concerns about the impact of rising oil prices on inflation, which brought Brent crude close to 100 dollars. Markets anticipate that the ECB will raise rates at its next meeting and promote a further 25 basis point increase in December, raising the deposit rate to 2.75%, the highest level since March 2025.
