Bruno Miguel Palhares Morais, Principal Agent of the PSP in Ponte de Lima, donated a collection related to the Forestry Guard to the Museum of the Republican National Guard (GNR). The donation was made together with his father, Joaquim Alberto Sousa Morais, a retired Forestry Master, and was formalized on August 28 at the Territorial Command of Viana do Castelo.
This gesture continues a collaboration of approximately 15 years between Bruno Morais and the History and Culture Division of the GNR, through which the PSP agent has regularly contributed to enriching the historical collection of the institution.
Among the collection transferred, uniform pieces, badges, and photographs stand out, elements that help preserve and publicize the history and work developed by the Forestry Guards. Part of this heritage can be viewed at the GNR Museum, integrated in the temporary exhibition "The SEPNA, the Forestry Guards and the GIPS, 20 years later."
The GNR highlights the "continued spirit of help and cooperation" of the Morais family, considering the contribution particularly relevant for the preservation of a heritage of which the Republican National Guard is the faithful custodian.
