Hugo Soares, PSD parliamentary leader, today classified as ridiculous Chega's motion of censure against the Government. This position arises in the context of a motion presented by the far-right party against the executive.
The social-democratic official also commented that he does not believe the President of the Republic sends "messages through friends" to the Government, in reference to possible attempts at informal communication between Belém and São Bento.
During his statements, Hugo Soares revealed he voted for António José Seguro in the presidential elections, information that arises in the context of a PSD congress where votes are taking place for the party leadership.
António José Seguro is a PSD politician who was a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, having lost the elections to Cavaco Silva in 2011.
