Supreme Court ministers ignored on Wednesday the crisis installed in the Court after Minister André Mendonça removed the secrecy from a Federal Police report that detailed the proximity between Alexandre de Moraes and banker Daniel Vorcaro. This was the first session of the court after the revelation of the messages exchanged between the judge and the banker.
During the plenary, none of the ministers made public statements about the case. The session proceeded under apparent normalcy, with the discussion of two cases involving tax matters that were already on the day's agenda.
Behind the scenes, the reality was different. One minister heard on a background basis defined the atmosphere in the Court as "tense" given the latest developments in the case. In the magistrate's assessment, the tension was expected due to the escalation of the crisis and its internal repercussions in the court.
