Thai city declares zero tolerance for prostitution during passage of American aircraft carrier

SIC Notícias2 September 2026 at 22:46

A Thai city declared zero tolerance for prostitution during the passage of an American aircraft carrier through the region. The measure aims to control the behavior of the military personnel arriving in the country.

About five thousand American military personnel arrived in the Gulf of Thailand aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. The military personnel will enjoy their first days of rest after consecutive months in the Middle East.

The USS Abraham Lincoln is one of the aircraft carriers involved in the war against Iran. The stopover in Thailand represents a pause for American forces after a long period of military operations in the region.
