The president of the Oeiras Municipal Council, Isaltino Morais, used social media to appeal to the young people of the municipality who are in the process of applying to higher education to apply for the study and merit grants made available by the Municipal Council. The objective is to ensure that no student is prevented from continuing their studies for financial reasons.
Isaltino Morais assured that the Municipality is committed to financially supporting students, not allowing economic difficulties to be an obstacle to access to higher education. The mayor highlighted the importance of this measure for the young people of the Oeiras municipality.
Over the past five years, the local authority has already invested 8.5 million euros in this social action programme aimed at students. This figure demonstrates the significant investment that the Municipality of Oeiras has dedicated to educational support for its young residents.
The information was conveyed through social media by the president of the Council himself, having originally been published on the Olhares de Lisboa portal.
