Exhibition Hall I of the Afundación Vigo Headquarters hosts, from September 3 to October 3, 2026, the exhibition "Fantastic Posters – 10 years of GFFF with the Jean-Loup Passek Collection". The exhibition is part of the celebration of the 10th edition of the Galician Freaky Film Festival (GFFF) and was carried out in collaboration with Abella Producións.
The exhibition internationally showcases the valuable collection of the Melgaço Cinema Museum, being one of the main pre-festival activities that will take place in Vigo between September 17 and 26, completing the GFFF programming with a historical perspective on the fantastic and horror genre.
The public is invited to explore nearly six decades of images that transformed fantastic and horror cinema into one of the richest visual languages of cinema, from the expressionist shadows of silent film.
The selection includes original posters and photographs of high artistic and heritage value, ranging from classics such as The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) and Nosferatu (1922) to titles that revolutionized movie theaters in the 60s, 70s and 80s, such as Psycho (1960), Rosemary's Baby (1968), The Exorcist (1973) and The Shining (1980).
