What is the kiosk that appeared in front of the Arco da Porta Nova in Braga for?

Braga TV2 September 2026 at 19:16

An old kiosk was placed in front of the Arco da Porta Nova in Braga, generating curiosity among residents and visitors of the city. The structure, which was no longer in operation, was installed specifically for a cultural event.

The kiosk will be transformed into a camera obscura during Noite Branca, a cultural event held in the city. This transformation is part of the event's artistic and cultural programming.

Inside the kiosk, visitors will be able to see images of the street and surrounding space projected upside down. This experience demonstrates the optical principle that is at the origin of photography, allowing participants to understand how the first photographic cameras worked.
