Presidential candidate Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) reacted on Wednesday (2) to the Genial/Quaest poll that placed him with only 1% of voting intentions in the first round. During a walk through the Pinheiros market in São Paulo, Caiado stated that he respects the result, but said he does not discuss polls. The survey showed President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) leading with 37%, followed by Senator Flavío Bolsonaro (PL) with 29% and writer Augusto Cury (Avante) with 10%. Caiado appears in fourth place, tied with Romeu Zema (Novo), both with 1%. The PSD candidate believes voters are still in the process of getting to know and analyzing the names competing for the presidency.
