The National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP) made an appeal to the Government to accelerate the financing of municipal investments that are in arrears. ANMP's president, Pedro Pimpão, was the voice of this request, emphasizing the need to unlock pending funds for the municipalities.
Pedro Pimpão highlighted that this is the appropriate moment to determine which projects and investments remained unfinished by August 31st. This date appears to be a relevant deadline for the process of identifying and regularizing the investments in arrears.
The issue concerns financial commitments of the State to local authorities that have not yet been fulfilled, affecting the municipalities' capacity to complete planned works and projects. ANMP insists with the Executive to create conditions that allow this situation to be resolved promptly.
